Anupama Solanki: Getting a compliment from Anita Hassanandani on my style sense and costume was special

For celebrities, especially actors, it is important to look good, says Anupama Solanki. The actor shares that fans look up to them, want to see them in different avatars and take inspiration.

“As a celebrity, it is important to stay updated as to what is in vogue. We also need to experiment and develop our own style. I always try to do the same. In fact I have got compliments at times from my colleagues as well. When I was a part of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Anita Hassanandani once appreciated my style sense and costume. She is one my favourite actors and I love her style, hence any appreciation coming from her is special,” says the actor, who shares whenever she is dressed well and right, she feels positive and happy.

Solanki agrees that clothes reflect one’s personality. “Your clothes say about your choice, how you are as a person, the kind of things you like, your preference etc,” she adds.  The actor says that she is passionate about clothes and loves to shop. “I usually purchase 6 to 7 dresses every month. There are many clothes that I still have but I keep on buying new clothes because I enjoy keeping myself updated with the latest fashion. I don’t wear uncomfortable clothes but sometimes it happens that female costumes that we get in shows are more complicated than the ones for men, so I always keep my own dresses ready,” she says.

According to Solanki, the best and worst fashion trends are high slit dress and shimmery kurti.  What’s one fashion trend you wish you knew about when you were younger? “I wish I knew about off-shoulder tops when I was younger. I love them a lot,” she ends.
