Rajan and Deepa Shahi’s “Anupamaa” has always stood out because of its concept. The characters and the story are so relatable that the audience was able to build a connection as soon as it went on-air in July 2020. There has been no looking ever since, be it in the TRP or awards nights. Speaking of awards, the show won top honours at the recently held ITA Awards 2022.
Sudhanshu Pandey, who plays Vanraj Shah, took home the Best Actor Drama award, while Rupali Ganguly, who is seen in the titular role of Anupamaa, won the Best Actress Popular award. “Anupamaa”, which is produced under the banner Shahi Productions Pvt Ltd, won the Best Serial Drama TV, along with the Best Story award (to Namita Vartak) and Best Dialogue award (to Divy Nidhi Sharma).
While “Anupamaa” is on a winning streak, Rajan’s “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” has also managed to garner the audience’s attention. Harshad Chopda, who plays the lead role of Abhimanyu Birla in the show, took home the Best Actor Popular award.
Currently, both the shows are high-on drama. While in “Anupamaa”, Anupamaa will be seen struggling between her relationship with Anuj and her responsibility towards her family, in “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” Akshara and Abhimanyu’s relationship is at stake again.
