Himansh Kohli talks about the lessons he learned in lockdown

Actor Himansh Kohli says that the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns taught him a lot about life. The actor says that it taught him the value of life.

“My film, Boondi Raita, was being shot when the Omicron wave had already hit the country. It was a difficult task to keep the production functioning smoothly and safely. We were fortunate that we all stayed Covid negative during all routine tests,” he says, adding, “That period taught us that we should be prepared for the worst and live each day like it’s the best time of our lives.”

The actor adds that the pandemic actually made him realise what matters in life. “It turned my attention towards everyone who’s actually important. I got a new perspective on how people actually are, especially when you’re under life-threatening conditions,” he says.

Ask him if he started a hobby in the last two years, and he says, “I started reading books after the lockdown. I try to finish one book every month at the very least. I missed being around people and roaming around freely. I also missed watching people’s expressions much because all you could see were eyes under the mask.”
