Ribbhu Mehra on Actors Cricket Bash: Feels good to be on the field playing cricket with my fellow colleagues

Actor Ribbhu Mehra will play for Team Ahmedabad Lions in the third chapter of Dilip Agrawal’s Actors Cricket Bash (ACB). The T10 format sporting event will be a four-day-long affair i.e from March 19th to March 22nd. It will be held at Mumbai’s Air India Ground.

“It’s always good to be on the field playing cricket with my fellow colleagues, especially when it’s actual cricket. ACB season 3 is much-awaited and I am looking forward to it to start this weekend. I never thought that we actors have such great cricketing talent among us. The competition is cut throat and every team is practicing hard to outdo the others. I am sure this time it will be the best of all seasons we have played. We won last year, so the pressure will be on us to keep up with the track record and retain the trophy,” he says.

For the actor, cricket has always been a passion. “I have always tried to pursue the sport in some form. During those hours of cricket, the focus just remains on the game and nothing else which I think is good as it is a stress buster as well. I enjoy playing cricket online as well when physical matches aren’t possible,” he adds.

Ribbhu has been practicing for quite some time now. “We have been training, having proper net practices. I am trying to keep my fitness level up as a lot of stamina is required in the game. I am also keeping an eye on other key players of other teams,” he laughs.

The actor’s favourite players are Mahendra Singh DHoni and Sachin TenDulkar. “I think I am more like MSD when it comes to cricket. His temperament is what makes him special. He is cool as a cucumber. Like him, I am also a wicket keeper,” he adds.

Praising Dilip, he adds that he is one of a kind, and indeed a true sportsman. “He is one-man-every army, a go -getter. He delivers what he says. To manage so many actors and their dates and to organise such a big tournament is not easy at all, hats off to him. We all love him,” he says adding that he is looking forward to IPL this time and like always would support MSD and his team Chennai Super Kings.
