Singer Megha Kishore receives an award; dedicates it to her parents

Singer Megha Kishore, whose last song Birthday was a huge hit, bagged an award in Delhi.
Throwing more light on the award Megha says,”Delhi Shree awards are organised specially for the people of Delhi who are making Delhi proud in different fields. It was a special feeling indeed when your achievements get a recognition through awards. I want to dedicate this award to my hard work and my parents who have been my constant support throughout the journey. Everything that I am today, I owe it to my parents. I remember I received my first award in 2019 when I performed in a night remembering the maestro RD Burman Ji. The special part about that night was that I wore my mother’s top (my lucky top) which she used to wear in her shows in the 90’s. These awards will always have a special place in my heart. After many years when I will look back at my career, I will remember how much hard work and dedication I put in and how I have moved forward in my life.”

She also adds,”I remember watching award shows on the television in my childhood days. I’ve seen my parents receiving awards, I’ve attended a lot of award nights but receiving an award for my own achievements was a different experience. It just boosts me up to do a lot more in life and I want to make my people proud of me worldwide. But nothing comes easily in life, I have a dream of taking my name globally and I am working towards my dream.”
