Rajan Shahi honoured with the Scroll of Honour at ITA 2022, receives it with his mother Deepa Shahi

Rajan Shahi did not just change the face of Indian television, but even gave way to many trending stories too with his shows. No wonder he was honoured with the Scroll of Honour at the ITA 2022 for his contribution to the TV industry.

Rajan is the man behind unique shows like “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai”, “Anupama”, and “Woh Toh Hai Albelaa”. While “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” is one of the longest-running shows in Hindi GEC and is about to touch the 4000 episodes milestone, “Anupamaa” has topped the TRP charts for two years now, and became quite a trendsetter.

His debut in regional with Aai Kuthey Kai Karte in Star Pravah is also top rated and became game changers in Marathi TV. These shows have definitely given Rajan the most unique position as a producer in the industry. Rajan received the honour along with his mother Deepa Shahi, who is the co-producer of “Anupama.

Interestingly, he is the only producer to receive this award twice. He had earlier received the honour in 2010 for “Sapna Babul Ka… Bidaai” and “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai”. During that time, he took his daughter Ishika, who is pursuing higher education in Sydney, with him on the stage.

It is surely a moment of pride for not just Rajan, but also his team at Director’s Kut Productions and Shahi Productions Pvt Ltd.
