Choreographer-director Saurabh Prajapati on International dance day: Dance is like a blessing to me

Touted to be one of the youngest choreographers and directors in showbiz, Saurabh Prajapati has treated his fans to his brand-new music video Dhokebaaz on the occasion of International Dance day. Regarding dance as a blessing for him, Saurabh says he was born to dance!

“I believe a dancer is born with the ability to dance. The passion and love required for dancing cannot be inculcated, it needs to be natural. Dance is like a blessing to me. It is so strange but no one in my entire family dances. In fact, not even my friends. And actually, there was no one to guide me when it came to dance,” he says.

He adds, “I remember when I was 8 years old, I started dancing on my own. However, it will always remain a mystery how I suddenly got so enthralled by the magic of dance and I was head over heels in love with it, without even knowing much about it. Dance has given me everything. I loved to dance and I started training in it. Soon I became a professional dancer then I became a choreographer and now I am a director as well.”

And now, his life is incomplete without dance. “Now, dance has become so important in my life. I feel so blessed to be able to do what I really want love and am passionate about. As an artist, you get a chance to express your emotions and your feelings through your art. There is nothing more that you can ask for,” he says.

He adds, “There is always so much one can explore and experiment as an artist which gives you excitement. This is why it is important to stay patient and true to your art.”
