After the launch of Barrister Babu, the show has earned lots of appreciation because of its excellent actors and amazing storyline. The story of Barrister Babu is quite thrilling. The girl named Bondita is very playful and argumentative in the show. She lives with her widowed mother and mama, mami. Her mami’s name is Devoleena, who wants to get her married to the old man. On the other hand, Anirudh comes back to India after completing his barrister studies. He wants to bring a change in the ways of India. So that India becomes free from conservatism. Anirudh has a friend Mini. whom he wishes to marry.

Once while Anirudh is playing games with Mini, he gets a letter from Bondita. The letter Bondita has written for her future husband. Anirudh appreciates Bondita’s thinking. He then receives an invitation from his friend to attend Bondita’s wedding. Bondita’s future husband dies in the mandap itself. The people of the village want her to complete sati pratha. But Anirudh declares Bondita as his wife by filling vermilion on her forehead.

He brings her to Roy mansion. Mini gets sad. She tries hard to get Bondita away from Anirudh. But the bond between Bondita and Anirudh is not broken. When Anirudh comes to know about Mini’s wrongdoings, he ends his friendship with her. Mini wants to revenge for this. She knew that Anirudh wants Bondita to get an education so she plans so that she will not let Anirudh’s dream come true and thus will take her revenge. However, she is unable to succeed in this plan as well.

So she tries to kill Bondita. Sampoorna’s husband saves Bondita’s life but dies himself. Sampoorna becomes a widow. Anirudh and Bondita bring her to their house. Sampoorna marries Binoy under the guise of her mother. After some time, Sampoorna’s true colours also come to the fore in front of Anirudh and Bondita, which leaves both of them disappointed. But the period of problems still does not end in their life.

Anirudh and Bondita’s marriage is annulled by the court as their marriage was a Kupratha. Due to which the villagers get angry. They want to kill Bondita. That is when Thakuma enters. Who is old minded and wants to keep Bondita away from studies. She wants to marry Bondita to a boy named Chandrachur. But Bondita runs away to London. And Chandrachur gets married to Tupur.

When Bondita comes back after studying law, she finds that the people of Tulsipur and Krishna Nagar are now each other’s enemies. And the seed of this enmity may have been sown by Chandrachur. Bondita tries to put an end to this enmity. For this she becomes Vyjayanthi. But gets caught in her own play. Trilochan mistook her as a spy and sentenced her to retire. When Bondita sees that Anirudh is not saying anything, she accepts the punishment. Anirudh wants to take her out of Tulsipur but Somnath kidnaps Bondita.
