At the beginning of the episode, Rishi asks Lakshmi for help in choosing clothes. Lakshmi disapproves of his choice and gives him the clothes that she had kept out. Karishma hears them and thinks Rishi does not like when someone tells him what to do. Rishi tells Lakshmi not to talk to him like that. Lakshmi gets embarrassed. Rishi smiles and says this is the first time he did not feel angry when someone scolded him. He says he felt like someone close to him was scolding him. Rishi sees Karishma and asks if she wants anything.
Lakshmi says sorry for scolding him. Rishi says she can scold him sometimes with love. Lakshmi says how can one scold with love. Rishi scolds her and tells her to try. Lakshmi gets scared. Rishi laughs at her. Lakshmi says the snake. Rishi gets scared. Lakshmi laughs at him. They pull each other’s cheeks. Rishi challenges her to match him as he dresses up.
Rishi gets dressed up and thinks what is going on with him and how he can be this friendly with Lakshmi. He thinks he will teach Lakshmi a lesson for teasing him. Lakshmi is smiling to herself. Devika and Ahana tease him. Ahana says Rishi is fully in love with Lakshmi. Rishi comes there. Devika asks him if he does not like Lakshmi. Rishi says of course he likes her. He gets embarrassed and goes from there. Soniya comes there and asks them to stop.
Neelam is getting ready. She asks Virendra if he wants to say something. Rishi comes. Neelam says he is looking very handsome and goes. Rishi asks Virendra what he is hiding. He takes it from his hand and it is KAJAL. Virendra says his mother is looking so beautiful, so he got KAJAL for her to ward off evil eye. Rishi asks if he believes in such things. Ayush says Virendra is a die-hard romantic. Virendra says his grandmother used to say this. Rishi says he will put KAJAL on Neelam.
Soniya says they are trying to spoil Rishi’s life by bringing Lakshmi and Rishi closer. Ahana says Rishi is their brother too. Shalu and Bani come. Soniya says their friends have come. Shalu and Bani meet Lakshmi warmly. Soniya thinks Lakshmi has such a good bond with her sisters but she is driving her sisters apart from her.
Karishma talks to Neelam. Neelam says Rishi is looking so good in traditional clothes. Karishma says he always looks good. Neelam says it seems as if he is ready to do AARTI. Karishma says Rishi will never do AARTI. Neelam says Rishi does believe in these rituals despite being her son. Karishma says he has still not changed and will not be a part of the puja. Neelam says Lakshmi’s family has come and goes. Karishma thinks something is going on in Neelam’s mind.
Neelam welcomes Rano, Preetam and Neha. Neha goes to talk to Ayush. Neha wishes Ayush and Rishi. Ayush asks if Shalu and Bani have come too. Lakshmi comes down with Shalu and Bani. Rishi is mesmerised on seeing her. Lakshmi gets embarrassed as he stares at her. Rishi gives KAJAL to Lakshmi to put behind her ear. Virendrs and Ayush see them and feel happy.
Lakshmi is about to put KAJAL when Neelam calls her. Ayush asks Virendra what will happen. Virendra says this Diwali will be special as Rishi will fall in love with Lakshmi. Ayush hugs Virendra. Dadi comes and asks them to confirm if Rishi know she has fallen in love with Lakshmi. She says she will give a reward to whoever finds it first.
Dadi starts the AARTI. Lakshmi looks for Rishi. Rishi is on stairs. Lakshmi calls him but he says no. Lakshmi gets sad.
