At the beginning of the episode, Rano and Preetam are shocked to hear that Virendra wants Rishi to get married to Lakshmi and not Neha. Virendra gives “shagun ka sikka” to Lakshmi. Rano says they have a misunderstanding and she talked about Neha, not Lakshmi. Virendra says he talked about Lakshmi and he has never met Neha. Rano says they can meet her now. Neha starts crying and starts telling about herself. Virendra says Lakshmi saved his son’s life, so only Lakshmi has a right on Rishi’s life. Neha goes to her room crying. Rano says he should have stated clearly before and if they do not want Neha then they can go back instead of insulting them.
Neelam gets angry and says if she calls the DCP, he could throw them out and they have to pay damages for the fire in the hotel that would be the real insult. She says they understood that Lakshmi saved their son’s life but they will not tolerate insult. Preetam apologizes to them and says it was Rano’s mistake. Virendra says they should let Lakshmi decide whether she is ready for this marriage.
Neha abuses Lakshmi in the room and asks what she told Virendra that he chose Lakshmi instead of her. Rano comes in and tells Lakshmi that Rishi is a spoilt brat and a womanizer and she should say no to this marriage. Lakshmi is not sure but Rano forces her to refuse.
Virendra asks Lakshmi if she is ready for this marriage. Lakshmi is confused and thinks of what Rano told her. She says she doesn’t know. Neelam says if she is not sure then she must take time and then decide. Virendra says she could see her father in him and he saw his daughter-in-law in her. He convinces her to meet Rishi once and then decides. Virendra says he will tell Rishi to call her so they can decide to meet. Neelam says there should not be any more misunderstanding. They go back. Lakshmi looks at the gold coin Virendra gave her and thinks of what Virendra said to her.
Neha is crazy with anger and says Lakshmi will snatch Rishi and all his riches from her. Rano says no one can take anything away from her.
Rishi calls Lakshmi. He recalls how Lakshmi saved his life. He says her voice is very sweet. Rishi asks if Lakshmi will go on a date with him. Lakshmi gets confused about what it means. Rishi says if they can meet. Lakshmi says in their village it is called “milani”, but someone accompanies them. Rishi says he will be there with her. He asks her to meet at 8:00 pm. Rishi gets worried if she will bring someone along.
Rano tells Lakshmi that it is wrong to go on a date and Rishi is the worst boy in the world. Shalu says, for Neha, he was the best boy. Rano says Neha is foolish and just wanted a rich boy, but Lakshmi is not like that. She says Neha is practical and can handle such a boy, but not Lakshmi. Shalu says she sent Lakshmi with Balwinder who was so bad, but not with Rishi. Rano tells her to stop talking. Rano convinces her to not go with Rishi. Lakshmi says she promises Virendra. Rano thinks she must bad-mouth Rishi so much that Lakshmi will say no herself. She says Rishi will drink and will be mean to those who are beneath her.
Shalu thinks they are putting negative thoughts in Lakshmi’s mind, so she makes an excuse to call Lakshmi in. Lakshmi says Rano is right and she will say no. Shalu tells Lakshmi to follow her heart. Rishi comes to pick her up. Neha tells Lakshmi that she should call her immediately if she feels something is wrong. Rano tells Lakshmi to go alone, so she will get scared and say no.
Rishi talks to Lakshmi while everyone watches them. He says he came because his father told him to meet her.
