I feel Paro every moment, I live and breathe her: Aleya Ghosh on her character in Ishq Ki Dastaan Naagmani

Aleya Ghosh seems to be enjoying dabbling in genres other than family dramas. Not that it has been a deliberate attempt to steer clear of saas-bahu sagas, it’s just that by the work of destiny, the actress has been getting such offers. After essaying Satyabhama in RadhaKrishn and Yakshika in Hero – Gayab Mode On, Aleya is currently seen as the protagonist, Paro, in Dangal TV’s Ishq Ki Dastaan Naagmani. She says that she fell in love with the character almost instantly. She adds, “The character may be fictional but for me, it feels real. I feel her every moment, as I live and breathe Paro. The innocence of the character is its USP. Paro’s honesty and simplicity are her endearing qualities.”

Ishq Ki Dastaan Naagmani is her first show in the lead role. Is it unnerving to deal with the pressure of being the face of a show? She replies, “Yes, it is. I do feel the pressure of a hectic schedule. I don’t get much time for myself. A daily show demands a lot of physical and mental involvement. But, as they say, fortune favours the brave. I am grateful for this opportunity. I try to make time for yoga and meditation sessions. By god’s grace, our show has been doing well since the beginning and I feel lucky to be a part of it. I am glad that all the hard work is paying off. Both the channel and the production house are extremely professional and have been kind and supportive. I wish to live up to their expectations.”

What makes the process smooth is her bond with her co-actors. Aleya shares, “My favourite co-actor and support system on the set is Aditya Redij and I share my ‘dil ki baat’ with Shameem ji and my partner-in-crime, Garima Verma.”

The young actress feels blessed to be a part of the acting profession. She says that the opportunity to play different characters gives her immense joy. She adds, “The entertainment industry brings so many dreams into reality which is incomparable. You need to be consistent to leave a mark. Compete with yourself and that’s important for self-growth. Be diligent about your work and everything will fall into place eventually.”

Keep watching Ishq Ki Dastaan Naagmani from Monday to Saturday at 9:30 pm only on Dangal TV.
