Kaushik Chakravorty talks about playing Chief Cardiac Surgeon in Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii

Actor Kaushik Chakravorty has opened up about his dream role in Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii. “The show has been shot so well that it’s bigger than the title,” he said. He plays the role of Chief Cardiac Surgeon Dr. P. Chokroborty, the head of the hospital where the story unfolds.
“Each of the doctors are in my team. It’s a strong role and a dream role for me,” he said. As for relating to his character, he said, “Biology was the only subject where I could easily score 90%. So memories of Armed Forces Medical College in Pune and my friends who are doctors in Mumbai, and the fact that the role is inspired by Dr.Devi Shetty motivated me every day to get up at 4 a.m for the shoot. That is how much I relate to the role of a doctor whenever I am offered one,” he said.
His performance is an ode and a mark of respect to each and everyone in the world of medicine who went through a lot during the lockdown.
The show is produced by Herumb Khot and Nilanjana Purkayasstha along with Studio Next. “They don’t make them anymore…guys like Nilanjana and Herumb. They are two warmest of beings. They left no stone unturned in the research and execution of the show,” he said praising the duo.
According to him, Dhadkan is a landmark show that “marks the transition of web series like execution in TV shows.” He thinks that the new normal is the best we ever lived. “There is hygiene and cleanliness everywhere. With masks and vaccines, it feels fresh,” said the actor, whose learnings make him fierce and uses that as a strength in his performances.
