Celebrities talk about their love for her, how much they are going to miss her. They also share their favourite song of the Nightingale of India, how much they relate to it:

Vijayendra Kumeria- Lata Ji’s career journey has been phenomenal. I have grown up hearing her songs. My favourite is Lag Ja Gale as well as Tum Gaye Sab Gaya from the film Maachis. She will live in our memories via her songs. She always came across as a very positive person. She was an institution in her self

Pragati Mehra- ‘Ae mere watan ke logon zara aankh mein bhar lo paani Jo shaheed huye hain unki zara yaad karo qurbani’ is my favourite song if Lata Mangeshkar. It’s a memory when we used to participate in the Republic Day celebration and gather at Vijay Chowk at 5 am before the parade. This song always plays to get everyone proud and appreciate our independence.
Adaa Khan-  Lata Ji is called the nightingale of the music industry. I have grown up listening her songs from Hum The Jinke Sahare to Tujhe Dekha Toh Ye Jana Sanam. With her voice, heroines like Mumtaz, Zinnat Aman, Shree Devi, Madhuri Dixit, Kajol brought romance alive on screen. I have a huge collection of Lata Ji’s songs on my playlist. My favourite one is Tere bina Zindagi Se Koi Shikwa Toh Nahi’ is my favourite song. It was my mom’s favourite song too. She loves all her songs.

Aditya Deshmukh- It’s a very sad time for all of us that Lata didi is no more between us. We have lost a true gem. She will always live in our hearts. Her contributions in the field of art are unmatchable. Her voice is so melodious and I think in 100 years there will be one such singer. I feel proud to be a part of the industry which has so many talented singers. I don’t know how to express my sorrow in words as we lost a true gem. These two days of mourning are important and I still can’t believe she is no more. As she always said ‘Meri awaaz hi pehchaan hai’, I can identify with the emotion. We will always be thankful to her for her beautiful songs that we grew up listening to. My favourite one is ‘Aye mere watan ke logon’. Her voice had magic. Nobody can replace her and we all will miss her.
Hansa Singh- Lata didi’s songs are everything. The song ‘Naam ghum jayega , chehra yeh badal jayega, meri aawaz hi pehchaan hai’ is closest to my heart. I had a heavy heart when she got admitted to the hospital and prayed for her speedy recovery. Though something was telling me that this time it might be difficult, but I know she will always be with us, her everlasting songs and melodies sooth us. All her songs resonates with life, will miss her presence
Rahul Sharma- Yes this is a very big loss to our industry, can’t express how painful it is to lose our childhood that has been shaped by listening to her songs. Those are not just songs, rather soulful melodies filled with emotions. The melodious voice she has is beyond words. What I feel right now is that we have lost the voice of our nation. I remember that when I was 7 years old people used to talk a lot about Lata Ji and used to say that she is the pride of our nation. I loved all her songs and my most favourite is ‘Lag jaa gale’ It’s a deep-rooted emotion that explains why so many people connected with her renditions. For Lata Ji, I will say that it is a big loss and she will be missed a lot.
Pranav Misshra- It’s extremely sad and I remember all her melodious numbers. When I was in school, on every 15th August, the ‘Vande Matram’ that used to be played in her voice was my first interaction with Lata Ji’s voice and that stayed with me forever. When I heard this news I listened to that song again. She was a legend.
Akshay Jain- Lata Mangeshkar Ji’s demise is a loss of one of the most talented personalities that come by once in centuries I feel. There is only one Lata Mangeshkar and will always be her.  It’s really hard to pick one song, however I’m very fond of the song ‘Ajeeb Dastan Hai Yeh’, I love the song and I think it’s one of the most widely sung songs in live bands and karaokes till date!
