Actress Nyrraa M Banerji Shares her joy on receiving an honour for her contribution during pandemic

Actress Nyrraa M Banerji was recently honoured with an award for her selfless contribution during the pandemic. Speaking about it Nyrraa says,”I got the Mumbai Hulchal achievers award for my contribution during the Covid19 pandemic.  I donated a lot of stuff, did a campaign for supporting police and also made a short film on domestic violence.  I also continued to share spiritual and positive quotes through my social media handles. I also kept entertaining the public with my renditions during lockdown. This award is a result of all of this effort. It’s always a nice humble feeling when you are being rewarded for your contribution to the society and this time it was special as I have received this from the governor of Maharashtra Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari. It was a special day of my life and will always be embedded in my memory.”

She adds, “Awards are nothing but a form of appreciation. It makes me happy and I get encouragement.” So what’s important to you?

“For me, appreciation of my creativity comes first. Also, the name comes first to me. When there is a name there is fame. And then awards and money follow if you are lucky. An actor’s life is not easy. One is working continuously with make-up and without having proper rest. Sometimes you need to look good and fit in front of the camera even when you are not feeling well. I also want to thank my mother for her unconditional and constant support towards me. I also want to thank all the production houses for giving me the nicest roles which I have portrayed in front of the camera and  then I am grateful to my fans for making it a hit.”
