At the beginning of the episode, Rama tells Anokhi that she is the “bahu”, so she should not compare herself with Shaurya’s place in that house as he is the son. Babli supports Anokhi and says she they should let Anokhi be. Anokhi promises that she will never speak unnecessarily but if there is a need, she will definitely speak up. Rama tries to convince her but Anokhi does not listen.
Anokhi’s “vidaai” starts. Devi thinks Anokhi will have to weep her whole life now. Rama asks Anokhi to do the rice-throwing ritual, but Anokhi says she does not want to do so. Anokhi says that no daughter can ever repay her parents’ debt, so she she will not carry this out. She says these rituals were made in the past and should be changed with time. Alok thinks this girl is full “jhansi ki rani”. Shaurya supports Anokhi. Shaan says Astha said the same thing at her “vidaai” and they are alike in many ways.
Devi says it is necessary to follow rituals, otherwise it will be a bad omen. Anokhi says she is ready to face the consequences. Ramesh tells Anokhi to do the ritual even if she does not agree with it. Anokhi says this is the problem, people understand what is wrong, still they ignore it. Ramesh pleads with her to do it. Anokhi carries out the ritual but says she knows that she can never pay her debt to her parents and will never break her ties with her maternal family. Anokhi meets everyone and goes with Shaurya.
As they are getting in the car, Tej stops them. Tej says they must go to Sabherwal’s house for “griha pravesh” and both mothers will do so together. They happily go from there. Shaurya tells the driver to take the longer route, so that others can reach before them. Anokhi says she is happy they are going to Sabherwal house. They thank each other.
Devi asks why Tej agreed to bring Anokhi in this house. Tej says he had to do it to keep Shaurya in the house. Devi is worried about Astha coming in the house, but Tej tells her to ignore it for the larger goal.
Gayatri and Kanchan support Anokhi’s stand for his parents. Astha comes to Sabherwal house and thinks about the past. Shaurya and Anokhi reach Sabherwal house. Gayatri prepares the “aarti ki thali”. Devi and Astha both takes it from her.
