The youth icon Shivin Narang is creating waves. “Jabse lockdown shuru hua hai my meal timings have gone haywire, and that’s one thing I’m working on in the New Year,” says Shivin Narang who was recently seen in a music video alongside actor Nia Sharma. While Shivin was last seen opposite Jennifer Winget in Beyadh 2 before the show went off-air due to the ongoing pandemic, he is now mostly seen in music videos, the latest being with Nia Sharma which has crossed 11 million views. When quizzed about doing music videos over TV shows he says, “After Beyhadh 2 went off the air, I took it easy as nothing was happening. Post lockdown I started taking up more music videos as the duration is shorter as compared to TV shows. Of course, I enjoyed doing it, because as an actor it helps you stay visible given the current situation and is also lucrative.”
He further adds, “I’ve always taken up things that are in demand, irrespective of the medium. Also, doing music videos allows me to explore and portray various characters which creatively satisfies me. The reach of these videos is massive and enables me to stay connected with my fans. So it’s a win-win situation.”
When asked what’s keeping him away from the small screen, he quickly retorted, “Just because I’m doing music videos doesn’t mean I won’t do TV shows. I’ve always been choosy about my projects. Doing a show isn’t like a 9-5 job, which can be changed at our whims and fancies. There’s a lot that goes into making a show, so I want to be extremely clear when taking up a role and a show. I need to love something to give my 100%. I’ve always taken up shows that allows me to experiment, challenge, and push my boundaries as an actor.” The chocolate boy is a flavour of the season.
