Actress Vaishalee Thakkar, who is known for her shows Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 and Uttaran, is very excited about the festival of Gudi Padwa. The actress says that since they stay in Mumbai, the festival has always been a big deal for them.
“Living in Mumbai, and that too in Dadar, Gudi Padwa is very special to me and my family. Our neighbours exchange sweet and Sona (leaf) with us on that day as it is considered to be auspicious,” she says.
Talking about how they celebrate the festival, Viashalee adds, “We Gujaratis make a mixture of sugar, neem leaves and green mango to mark the beginning of summer as this mixture helps to kill the body heat.”
This year, Vaishalee’s family has decided to buy a car on the occasion of Gudi Padwa. “This year for me My family is buying an electric car and we all are excited about the same, “she says.
