Reyen Eyes: I mostly like to watch informative shows or movies

Attitude singer Reyen Eyes enjoys watching informative shows or movies. Every year on November 21, World Television Day is observed and the emphasis is on how TV plays a vital role in presenting different issues that affect people.

“We used to have a black and white TV in our home when I was very young. In such a short span of time, common usage has come a long way from black and white TVs to Androids. I remember the importance I gave to television. I would sometimes skip studies to watch shows,” he said.

“I mostly like to watch informative shows or movies, but the programme I watched consistently while growing up was actually Balika Vadhu. Well, partly because my mom used to, but then I got hooked to it. I used to watch some cartoons like Shin Chan and Noddy. I still watch Tom and Jerry. I have also watched Man vs. Wild a lot,” he added. He feels that the way we consume entertainment has changed a lot and is not restricted to TV.  “I catch up on an episode or a documentary every week. The TV show Friends is what I believe will be my lifelong number one. I believe television is one of the most affordable sources of endless knowledge. You could be learning survival techniques of Antarctica or have an insight into underwater life in Mexico. It basically allows you to see how there is so much in this world and pushes you to dream big. It shaped the intriguing nature of entire generations,” he said.

Asked if he would like to anchor a show on TV, he said, “If I ever get an opportunity, I’d rather be more enthused to be in the participant corner. I always have had that passion to learn and compete in a variety of creative or entertaining or adventurous tasks.”
