At the beginning of the episode, Anandi wakes up in the morning. She remembers Madiba saying that she should stay here only if she considers this house as her own. She says that now she has to show everyone that she is fine as she has to stay here from now on. She sees her school dress and says that now she will never be able to go to school. She adds that now she won’t even know whether she got good marks on the test or not.
She goes to Madiba’s room and gives her flowers. Madiba sees that she is not wearing mangalsutra and has not applied vermilion. She asks her where is her mangalsutra. She tells that it is in Devgarh only. Madiba thinks that she should make a mangalsutra but she is unable to thread the needle. Anandi helps her. Madiba tries to make her laugh but she doesn’t smile. Madiba leaves in despair.
Anandi further observes that Jigar and Kanku are getting ready to go to school. She gets sad. She remembers that her mother also used to prepare tiffin for her. Sejal sees how Anandi is standing sad. Here Premji still could not get any investors. Madiba comes to Premji and asks him to bring Mangsutra for Anandi. Sejal says that she should not give Mangsutra to Anandi as it will let everyone know that she is the daughter-in-law of their house.
Devali says that they should tell the truth to everyone. But Premji and Madiba deny this as it may land them in jail. Madiba further tells Sejal that guests are about to arrive, so she should prepare the dish and take Anandi’s help too. After some time Mehul’s son comes. Who sees Anandi and says that Anandi is a lovely child. He asks Premji if Anandi is his daughter. Premji stands silent.
Sejal tells them that she is Premji’s friend Khemji’s daughter who has come to stay here for a few days. Anandi then serves breakfast to the guest. He praises the cooking skills of Sejal after eating dhokla. Sejal tells that this is made by Anandi. He praises Anandi and says that Anandi is a very intelligent girl. He further tells Khemji that he is ready to do business with Premji. Premji gets happy. Madiba says that all this happened because of Anandi’s subh steps.
Premji feels the same way. He tells Anandi that he did wrong to her and he apologizes for it. Premji adds that he will always try to make her happy. Here Ratan and Khemji are sad as their Anandi is getting punished for their mistake. She adds her childhood has also been taken away. Here Sejal thinks that she has to do something for Anandi’s studies.
